Webinars, STTPs and Quizzes conducted during Covid-19 lockdown

KITS, Ramtek has always tried its level best to fulfill its commitment of extending education, even the lockdown due to Covid-19 also could not come on its way. During this challenging time of almost a global lockdown, KITS, Ramtek has put in its best possible efforts to enhance the skills and knowledge of the academic fraternity and students by conducting a series of online activities. Every department of the Institute successfully conducted webinars, STTPs, quizzes on the key technological aspects. Eminent resource person from academics and industries were invited to deliver talk and share their expertise in various recent topics.

Dr. Manas Thakur, Assistant Professor, IIT Mandi , Himachal Pradesh presented webinar on “Java Performance in HotSpot JVM”. Mr. Sunny Khushwaha, Front end Developer, Colorib Company at Riga in Latvia explained “Angular Framework” in detail. Mr. Bhushan Naware, Front End Methodology, Design Lead and Mentor of Change, AIM, Government of India along with Mr. Sanjeet Kumar, Design and Verification Lead, Intel Corporation delivered seminar on “VLSI: Breaking the Jinx”. Dr. Kumar Pallav, Cape Peninsula University, Capetown delivered a lecture on “Material Characteristics of Heritage Structures”, Mr. Abhishek Takkamore, Meydan Sobha Constuctions, FZLIC, Dubai delivered a presentation on “Procurement and Evaluation Techniques”. Mr. S. K .Mahajan, Research Scholar, VNIT, Nagpur talked on “Bridging Gape in RCC Buildings”. From ANSYS Pune, Mr. Pravin Nakod, Application Manager explained “Design of Gas Turbine and Simulation” and Dr. Devendra Deshmukh, Assistant Professor, IIT Indore talked on “Advances and Challenges in IC Engines and Petroleum Fuels”. Institute faculty, Dr. Mahesh Mawale, Associate Professor, delivered a webinar on “Development of Biomedical Devices using Additive Manufacturing”, Mr. A.R.Ukalkar, Assistant Professor, presented a webinar on “Introduction to R Programming” and Mr. L. Charan, Assistant Professor, delivered a webinar on “Wind Energy Development and its Status”.

On eve of Environmental Day Engineering, a quiz was arranged by Department of Civil Engineering. Department of Engineering Sciences and Humanities organized online quiz on Engineering Sciences exclusively for B. E. first year students. These activities ensure that education is not obstructed during the lockdown.
