The National Service Scheme of Kavikulguru Institute of Technology and Science (KITS) Ramtek has organized a Special camp under Nagpur University.
In this three day camp, various activity and awareness programs were implemented by 50 Volunteers. Tree Plantation and Swachh Bharat Abhiyan Awareness programs were implemented on the first day by NSS volunteers. On the second day, a survey was conducted by volunteers by visiting every house in the village to know the problems of the villagers and to consider these issues with innovative vision. A rally was held on the theme "Plastic Free India" to create awareness in the minds of the people about the harmful effects of plastics.The rally was attended by volunteers as well as school students.
During the camp various competitions were organized by volunteers for ZP school students of Nandapuri. In particular, drawing and drama competitions got a lot of participation from the students. At that time Students performed plays on the subject of education system, good manners, social distancing, superstition, dowry system, child labor and domestic violence .
Health camp was organized on the third day at Nandapuri. 83 villagers benefited from this free health camp. Dr.Sudhakar Chafle conducted the examination and provided guidance on health issues. In order to make today's young generation realize how terrible the scourge of addiction is, the volunteers of the National Service Scheme presented a Nukkad Natak on the subject of addiction.The audience appreciated Nukkad Natak very much.
The valedictory program was presided over by the Principal of KITS Ramtek Dr. Avinash Shrikhande, Dean of Student Activities Dr. Pankaj Ashtankar, Dean(Admission) Anant Dabhade, Shri.Bhumeshwar Chafle was the president. Prizes were distributed to the children by the dignitaries. KITS’s other teachers were also present there. Program Officer of National Service Scheme Shri Rajesh Parve, said that the volunteers were able to learn a lot. Student Representative Rutuja Kale, Student Representative Apoorva Jodh, as well as Jayat Bahe, Shantanu Upase, Mohini Deshmakhu, Manthan Ghadge, Pranit Bawankule, Kunal Kadhav, Mohak Pachpor, Kajal Ganvir, Chirag Humne and all other volunteers took lots of efforts to make this camp a great success.
