International Yoga Day Celebrated at KITS, Ramtek
As part of International Day of Yoga-2022, yoga activity held at Kavikulguru Institute of Technology and Science (KITS), Ramtek, Dist. Nagpur (Maharashtra) on June 21, 2022 during 7.00 A.M. to 8.00 A.M. Staff, students, volunteers of National Service Scheme and National Cadet Corps took part enthusiastically and practiced various ‘ASANAS’ and ‘PRANAYAMA’.
Dr. Bapu R. Selokar, Head, Patanjali Yoga Committee, Ramtek was invited as a demonstrator for the said activity. He demonstrated various yoga postures and explained correct way of doing ‘ASANAS' and ‘PRANAYAM’. The program was attended by around 40 nos of students and staff. The yoga activity is conducted under the banner of NCC Unit, NSS Unit and physical education department KITS, Ramtek . Mr. B. Venkanna, Caretaker Officer, NCC Unit, Dr. U. Hatwar, Programme officer, NSS Unit, and Mr. Dinesh Joshi, Staff in charge, Department of Physical Education looked after the arrangements of the event with the help of project officer R. Srinivas Rao and his team. The program was grand success under the guidance of Dr. A. N. Shrikande, Principal, and Dr. Pankaj Ashtankar, Dean Student Activities, KITS Ramtek.
