The Department of Applied Sciences and Humanities (AS & H) of KITS Ramtek organized an Induction Cum Orientation Programme (ICOP-2024) for the students of First Year B. Tech. and B. Arch in Silver Jubilee Conference Hall on Monday, 23/09/2024 at 11.00 AM and at 3.00 PM.
The programme was inaugurated by lighting the auspicious lamp along with Saraswathi Vandana at the hands of Sri V. Srinivasa Rao garu, Hon’ble Secretary, Vodithala Education Society, Respected Principal Dr. Avinash N. Shrikhande and other dignitaries.
While addressing the audience, Sri V. Srinivasa Rao, Hon’ble Secretary, extended congratulations on behalf of the Vodithala Education Society and personal behalf to all the parents and newly admitted first batch students of the prestigious Autonomous status of the Institute. The Hon’ble Secretary briefed about the various infrastructural facilities available for the benefit of the students for their overall personality development and importance of technical education in their life to meet the industrial challenges and requirements.
Dr Avinash N. Shrikhande, Principal, KITS, Ramtek in his address enlightened the audience with the Induction Cum Orientation lecture and spoke about curricular, co-curricular activities , code of conduct at the institute. He provided the details about the revised fee structure as decides by FRA for the AY2024-25 and further explained the newly launched 100% tuition fee waiver scheme for all the eligible girl students or OBC/EWS/EBC/SEBC category as per the norms of Govt. of Maharashtra.
Dr. K. Gajanan, HOD, ASH Department, gave instructions about the academic schedule, class work and counseling. He introduced the faculty and staff members who would be engaging the first year B.Tech/BArch classes and HODs, Deans, Asso. Dean and guests who were present on this occasion.
Dr. A.N.Dhabade, COE & HOD, Civil Engineering, proposed the vote of thanks.
Mr. Y.G. Bakale, Asst. Prof., ASH and Ms. Rashi Shrigadiwar, Asst.Prof. Department of Architecture conducted the proceedings of the programme. More than 360 students, 200 parents/guardians, 80 faculty and staff members were present on this occasion.
The ICOP-2024 concluded with the National Anthem.
