January 26th is a day of great jubilation for Indians everywhere. On this day in 1950, the Constitution of India came into effect, marking the country's transition to a republic. Every year, we commemorate this historic occasion with a festive celebration. The event began with students gathering in front of the administrative block at 7:30 am. Principal Dr. Avinash N. Shrikhande hoisted the national flag, followed by singing the National Anthem, 'Jan Gan Man'. In his address, the Principal emphasized the significance of the Constitution, highlighting its embodiment of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity. He commended the NCC and NSS units for their outstanding contributions to various initiatives, including cleanliness campaigns, tree plantations, and Yoga Day. The Principal also acknowledged the students' achievements in academics and extracurricular activities, praising their hard work and dedication. Furthermore, he proudly announced the successful completion of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) accreditation process and conferred autonomy to the institute, marking a significant milestone in the institution's journey. The NAAC accreditation is a testament to the institute's commitment to quality education, and the autonomy granted by the University Grants Commission (UGC) will enable the institute to make independent decisions regarding its academic and administrative affairs. This achievement is a result of the collective efforts of the students, faculty, and staff, and it will undoubtedly propel the institute toward greater heights under the able guidance of Hon. Secretary Sri V. Srinivasa Rao Garu. The success of the event was a testament to the hard work of Dr. Avinash N. Shrikhande, Principal; Dr. Pankaj S. Ashtankar, Dean of Student Activities; Lt. Rajat Yadav, ANO, NCC; Dr. Uddal Hatwar, Program Officer, NSS; Mr. Dinesh Joshi, Physical Training Instructor; and Mr. Daipayan Mandal, Cultural Club Incharge. Ms. Shravani Chakinarapuwar, the 6th semester Computer Technology department expertly conducted the proceedings and expressed gratitude to the dignitaries, faculty, and students. The event concluded with the distribution of sweets by NSS volunteers.
