Highway Police and Sub-Regional Transport Officer Nagpur organized a Road Safety Awareness Guidance and Enlightenment workshop on January 29 at Kavikulguru Institute of Technology and Science (KITS) Ramtek. The program was presided over by Principal Dr. Avinash Shrikhande. On this occasion, Assistant Police Inspector, Arun Bakal of Highway Police Help Centre, Vehicle inspectors Mangesh Barde and Prashant Taksale, Dean of Student Activities, Dr. Pankaj Ashtankar, Teaching, and Non-teaching faculty members, and students were present. Assistant Police Inspector Arun Bakal, while giving guidance, said that accidents can be avoided if traffic rules are strictly followed. Two-wheeler owners should use helmets, limit the speed of the vehicle, and avoid using mobile phones. Four-wheeler owners should use seat belts. Vehicle inspector Mangesh Barde, through a presentation, said that to avoid accidents, the instructions given by the boards and signs on the road should be strictly followed. Principal Dr. Avinash Shrikhande noted that road safety awareness guidance will create awareness among the students. The success of the event was a testament to the hard work of Dr. Avinash N. Shrikhande, Principal; Dr. Pankaj S. Ashtankar, Dean of Student Activities; and Dr. Uddal Hatwar, Program Officer, NSS. Ms. Neha S. Chikhale, the 6th-semester Mechanical Engineering student expertly conducted the proceedings and expressed gratitude to the dignitaries, faculty, and students.
