One Day Workshop on Advances in Rooftop Solar Panel Installation

One day workshop on Advances in Rooftop Solar Panel Installation was organized by Department of Electrical Engineering on 20th January, 2026.The resource person for the workshop was Mr. Shashikant G. Kewte from Arinnac Solar and Electrical, Nagpur. A total of 70 participants including staff and students, attended the workshop. During the workshop, different tests which are useful for Solar installation, selection of KW rating for solar panel , effect of temperature on solar panel and the necessary electrical connections used in solar installations were also discussed. The Advances in installation technology and solar panel technology were also discussed, followed by a practical session for hands-on experience. Dr. Avinash N. Shrikhande, Principal, emphasized the importance of use of solar energy in protection of the environment. He encouraged the students to explore career in solar energy. Mr. Bhanudas D. Tale, HOD, Department of Electrical Engineering highlighted the significance of conducting such workshops. Mr. Shubham S. Nimbekar, Assistant Professor, was co-ordinator of the workshop. Ms. Pallavi Shende, II year student, Department of Electrical Engineering conducted the proceedings of the workshop. Ms. Ketki Deshmukh, II year student, Department of Electrical Engineering proposed the vote of thanks. The participants expressed their satisfaction with the workshop during the valedictory function. Mr.Raj Amdhare and Ms.Hema Bhange, II year students and all the faculty members (Teaching and Non-Teaching), worked hard for the successful conduct of the workshop. The Department also thanked the Hon’ble Secretary, VES, Sri. V.Srinivasa Rao for his continued support and encouragement in conducting such programs, which benefit both students and faculty.
