Mission TB-Free Bharat: an NCC Awareness Initiative At KITS, Ramtek
An awareness program on “Mission TB-Free Bharat: An NCC Awareness Initiative” was organized by the NCC Unit of KITS, Ramtek, on 10th August 2026 in Room No. 132 of the Civil Engineering Department. The program aimed to create awareness about Tuberculosis (TB), its symptoms, prevention, and treatment. A total of 39 NCC cadets from A, B, and C Sets participated in the program. The session included an informative presentation and a poster-based awareness activity, through which cadets learned about TB symptoms, preventive measures, myths and facts, and the importance of early diagnosis and proper treatment. The Associate NCC Officer guided the cadets on the significance of completing the prescribed course of medicines and maintaining awareness within society. The program concluded with a message on health awareness, discipline, social responsibility, and collective efforts towards achieving a TB-free India.
The NCC Unit extends sincere appreciation to the management for their constant encouragement and valuable support. Special thanks to Sri V. Dr. Avinash Shrikhande, Principal, for his proactive support in encouraging such meaningful initiatives, Dr. Pankaj Ashtankar, Dean Student Activities, for his timely coordination and smooth execution of the program, and ANO Lt. Rajat S. Yadav, for his dedicated leadership, valuable insights, and continuous guidance. Through his motivation, the cadets gained a better understanding of the importance of TB awareness, prevention, and timely treatment, inspiring them to actively participate in promoting the vision of a healthier and TB-Free Bharat.
