Maharashtra Day Celebration at Kavikulguru Institute of Technology and Science (KITS), Ramtek

Kavikulguru Institute of Technology and Science (KITS), Ramtek, celebrated Maharashtra Day on 1 st May 2025 with great fervor and enthusiasm. The event began with a solemn gathering on the lawn of the Administrative Building, where the National Flag was hoisted by the Principal, Dr. Avinash N. Shrikhande, to mark the formation of the state of Maharashtra. The National Anthem was sung with deep patriotic spirit by all present.

In his address, the Principal emphasized the historical and cultural significance of Maharashtra Day. He highlighted the state's remarkable contributions to the nation and encouraged students, faculty, and staff to draw inspiration from Maharashtra’s legacy and strive for excellence in their respective domains.
The celebration not only honored the rich heritage of the state but also served as a meaningful occasion to reinforce the values of responsibility, unity, and progress. Students were urged to uphold the ideals of inclusivity and diversity that define Maharashtra’s identity.

The event was graced by the presence of Dr. Avinash N. Shrikhande, Dr. Pankaj S. Ashtankar (Dean, Student Activities), Mr. Parag Pokley (Registrar), Mr. Anja Reddy (Librarian) Mr. Dinesh Joshi (In-charge, Physical Education Department), along with Heads of Departments, Deans, faculty members, supporting staff, and students.
