Established in the academic year 2001, the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering offers a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Tech.) degree in Electronics and Communication. The department is committed to delivering high-quality education, research, and training at the undergraduate level, with a strong focus on the design and development of modern communication systems. Our mission is to cultivate a vibrant academic environment that fosters creativity, critical thinking, and technical excellence. Students are guided and mentored in a supportive atmosphere, enabling them to emerge as competent, innovative, and industry-ready engineers. The department offers an undergraduate B.Tech. degree programme in since 2001 with a sanctioned intake of 60 students. Graduates of our department, equipped with specializations in areas such as Electronic System Design, Digital Signal Processing (DSP), Embedded Systems, and VLSI, find rewarding careers in a wide range of public and private sector organizations. to gain knowledge of both electronics (hardware, circuits, embedded systems) and computer science (software, algorithms, AI, data science) which makes

It also contains, the project reports and case study reports of previous year students are also available in the departmental library. e-Yantra Project is an initiative by IIT Bombay that aims to create the next generation of embedded systems engineers with a practical outlook to help provide practical solutions to some of the real world problems. The Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) sponsors e-Yantra under the National Mission for ICT in Education (NMEICT) program. Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering has taken an initiative to setup e-Yantra Robotics Lab under e-Yantra Lab Set-up Initiative(eLSI) by IIT Bombay. The e-Yantra Robotics Lab trains the students in embedded systems and micro-controller programming by engaging them through the Project Based Learning mode. A 3-Day Short Term Training Program on Latest Advancements in Antenna Design featured expert sessions by Dr. Narasimha Sarma N.V.S., Director, IIIT Tiruchirappalli, and focused on current antenna technologies. Sessions in collaboration with Fire Blaze Technology and E-Tantra introduced students to emerging career fields such as Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, PCB Design, and Renewable Energy Awareness. Workshops on Industrial Automation, IoT, PLCs, Sensors, and Ladder Programming bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world applications. In alignment with the Fit India Movement, the department organized a 3-Day Heartfulness Meditation Workshop, emphasizing mental wellness and mindfulness. The department hosted a specialized webinar on academic writing tools, featuring EndNote for reference management and Origin for data visualization. Students from nearby schools frequently visit the department as part of academic tours. These visits offer hands-on exposure to state-of-the-art facilities including the Electronics Workshop, Embedded Systems Lab, IoT Lab, and Seminar Halls.
