One Day Workshopon"Virtual Labs"
One day workshop on "Virtual Labs" was organized by Research & Development Cell under the aegis of Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Kavikulguru Institute of Technology and Science (KITS), Ramtek in association with Virtual lab IIT Delhi on 12th July 2025. The workshop was inaugurated in the presence of Mr. Ubaid Mushtag, Senior Field Engineer, Virtual Lab IIT Delhi, Mr. Shani Kumar, Senior Executive Trainer, Virtual lab, IIT Delhi, Principal Dr. A.N. Shrinkhande, Dean (IQAC) Dr. Y.M. Jibhakate and Coordinator & Dean(R&D) Dr. Satish Bhele.
Dr. A.N. Shrikhande, Principal, emphasized the importance of integrating modern tools in teaching-learning methodologies and elaborated on the various advantages of Virtual Labs in enhancing student engagement and understanding.
Dr. Satish K. Bhele, Coordinator of the workshop, provided an overview of the Ministry of Education's initiative through the ICT platform and introduced the workshop content. He emphasized how Virtual Labs serve as an effective medium to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application.
Mr. Ubaid Mushtag delivered an in-depth presentation on the Virtual Lab initiative by the Ministry of Education, highlighting the platform's role in facilitating practical learning for both students and faculty. He provided a walkthrough of the website, demonstrating the procedure to access and perform various experiments online. Mr. Shani Kumar explained the wide array of experiments available for different engineering branches and basic sciences. He also conducted hands-on training sessions for participants, ensuring they gained practical exposure to using the Virtual Lab platform.
The session was anchored by Mrs. Anjali Narad, Assistant Professor, Architecture Department. The workshop concluded with a vote of thanks. A total of 79 students from various engineering branches and 74 faculty members from KITS Ramtek and nearby science colleges actively participated in the event. Dr. Snehal Malode, Asst. Professor, Electronics and communication Engineering, Dr. Meenakshi Chourade , Asst. Professor, Civil Engineering, Dr. Shilpa Ashtankar, Asst. Professor, Electrical Engg. Dept, Mrs. Harshita Jain, Asst. Professor, Computer Technology Dept., Mr. Nagraju, Information Technology Dept. and Dr. Krushna Padole, Asst. Professor, ASH Dept worked hard for successful organization of the workshop.
