"79th Independence Day" Celebration at KITS, Ramtek
"79th Independence Day" of India was celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour at
Kavikulguru Institute of Technology and Science (KITS), Ramtek on Friday, 15th
August 2025.
The celebration commenced with the hoisting of the National Flag by the Principal, Dr.
Avinash Srikhande, followed by the soulful rendition of the National Anthem "Jana Gana
Mana" by all attendees. Faculty members, staff, and students gathered in large numbers to be
part of the occasion.
In his address, the Principal highlighted the institutes recent achievements, including the
prestigious NAAC Grade "A" accreditation, Grant of Autonomy, and notable student
participation in various academic, cultural, and sports activities. In his address, the
Principal gratefully acknowledged the pivotal role of the Vodithala Education Society,
Hyderabad , and especially the continuous support and motivation of the Honourable
Secretary, Sri. V. Srinivasa Rao without which the institutes progress would not have been
possible.
The events success was made possible through the efforts of Dr. Pankaj Ashtankar ,Dean
(Student Activities), Mr. Rajat Yadav (Lieutenant associate NCC officer), Mr. Dinesh Joshi
(Physical training instructor), Dr. Uddal Hatwar (NSS Programme Officer), and Dr.
Krishna Padole (In-charge, Cultural Club).
The program proceedings were conducted by Ms. Manshika Nitnawre, a second-year
student of the Computer Technology Department. The highlight of the event was the NCC
March Past, led by Senior Under Officer Rudransh Chandankhede, followed by Troop
Commander Junior Under Officer Vivek Sawwalakhe and Company Quarter Master
Sergeant Vinod S. Metta.
The celebration not only fostered a spirit of unity and patriotism but also served as a reminder
of our collective responsibility to uphold the values and ideals of our nation.
