Ganesh Chaturthi Celebrations at Triveni Hostel, KITS, Ramtek
TThe auspicious festival of Ganesh Chaturthi was celebrated with great devotion, unity, and cultural fervor at Triveni Hostel, KITS, Ramtek, by male and female students of the hostels. The celebrations spanned eleven days from 27th August to 6th September 2025, bringing together students, faculty, staff, and well-wishers in an atmosphere of spirituality and joy. The festival commenced with the welcome of the Lord Ganesha idol by immense enthusiasm, followed by traditional Pooja and Aarti. Each day thereafter, morning and evening Aartis were performed with devotion. Special highlights of the celebrations, such as the soulful Bhajan session, the traditional attire sarees and kurtas, powerful chants, a grand Maha arti was performed, the traditional dress of Maharashtra, Maha Prasad offered to all the staff and students in a conventional lunch setting, and Chappan Bhog to Lord Ganesha, made these celebrations memorable. Prasad was sponsored for eleven days by the Honorable Secretary, the Principal, the Dean (Hostels), the HOD (ASH), the Project Officer, the Mess Warden, one faculty member from both ASHD and CED, the Alumni, and students from different years. The procession began with DJ music and spirited dancing till the immersion site, bidding a heartfelt farewell to Bappa with chants of "Ganpati Bappa Morya, Pudhchya Varshi Lavkar Ya!" by the students, and ended with Visarjan at the local Rakhi Thalav, Ramtek. The celebrations became a grand success with the hard work of Shree Ganesh Utsav Committee led by the Staff In-charge, Mr. B. Venkanna, and Student In-charge Mr. Kusumakar Barde and his active team. The Shree Ganesh Utsav Committee gratefully acknowledges the constant support and encouragement of Sri. V. Srinivasa Rao, Honorable Secretary, Vodithala Education Society, Hyderabad, whose motivation has been instrumental in organizing such socio- cultural and spiritual events. The committee also extends its heartfelt thanks to the Principal, Dr. Avinash N. Shrikande, for his valuable guidance in facilitating various extracurricular activities at the institute. The Committee also thanks Dean (Student Activities), Dean (Hostels), Project Officer and his team, all Hall Wardens, and all the staff and students sponsors for their contributions in the form of donations.
