Induction Cum Orientation Program held for First Year B.Tech students, 2025-26.
The Department of Applied Sciences and Humanities (AS & H) of KITS Ramtek
organized an Induction Cum Orientation Programme (ICOP-2025) for the students of First Year
B.Tech. in Silver Jubilee Conference Hall on Wednesday, 24/09/2025 at 11.00 AM and 3.00 PM
and Thursday, 25/09/2025 at 11.00 AM.
The programme was inaugurated by lighting the auspicious lamp along with Saraswati
Vandana at the hands of Sri V. Srinivasa Rao Garu, Hon'ble Secretary, Vodithala Education
Society, respected Principal Dr. Avinash N. Shrikhande and other dignitaries.
Fondly remembering the 40 years of glorious existence of the institute, while addressing
the audience Hon'ble Secretary, Vodithala Education Society, Hyderabad, Shri.V.Srinivasa Rao,
recalled the inspiring legacy of the late Hon'ble Founder Chairman, Shri.V.Rajeshwar Rao and
reaffirmed the management's commitment to providing the best infrastructure for students. He
stressed that knowledge, skills, discipline and values are the true keys to success and assured that
KITS will continue to nurture future professionals who will contribute to building a knowledge-
based society and to nation-building.
In his address, the Principal, Dr.Avinash N.Shrikhande, introduced the esteemed
members of managements and highlighted of the mythological significance of Ramtek town,
where the institute is located. He outlined the institute teaching methodology, systematic
evaluation of students through examinations, and the emphasis on 100% syllabus coverage.
He further elaborated on the wide range of curricular, co-curricular, and extracurricular
activities conducted through various clubs/associations/forums for holistic development ,while
underlining the importance of discipline and adherence to the code of conduct by students. The
Principal also briefed the gathering about the various on-campus amenities available and the
robust counseling system established to support students academically and personally.
Dr. K. Gajanan, Head, ASH Department, gave instructions about the academic schedule,
class work, importance of communication skills and counseling. He Introduced the faculty and
staff members who would be engaging the First Year B.Tech. classes along with HODs, Deans,
and other guests present on the occasion.
Mr. Sriniwas Rayudu, Coordinator Admissions, proposed the vote of thanks.He
profoundly thanked the management, especially Sri.V.Srinivasa Rao, Secretary and Sri. V.Pranav, Executive Director, for their constant support and motivation in all the endeavors at the
institute including the admission process.
Mrs. Anjali Narad, Asst.Prof. Department of Architecture conducted the proceedings of
the programme. More than 550 students, 400 parents/guardians, 80 faculty and staff members
were present during ICOP-2025 which was spread over three different sessions. The organizing
committee worked hard for the successful conduct of the programme.
The ICOP-2025 concluded with the National Anthem.
