STTP on “Sacred Chronicles of Ramtek” on December 07, 2025
On December 7, 2025, the Department of Architecture at KITS, Ramtek organized engaging and informative session titled “Sacred Chronicles of Ramtek” as part of the Five Days Short Term Training Program (STTP) on “Cultural Landscapes in Continuum,” conducted by VNIT, Nagpur in collaboration with INTACH Nagpur Chapter during December 5 to 9, 2025. The sessions were held in physical mode by the Department of Architecture, with enthusiastic participation from students and faculty participants across the region. The event commenced with a warm welcome of the STTP coordinators, Prof. Utkarsha Dhurve and Prof. Rakesh Parmar from Department of architecture and Planning, VNIT Nagpur, Guests, Resource person & STTP Participants, followed by introductory remarks from Mrs. Kalpana R. Thakare, Head of the Architecture Department, KITS. The session focused on the rich cultural heritage of Ramtek, with presentations delivered by resource persons Mrs. Kalpana R.Thakare and Mrs. Anjali Vivek Narad, and narrated tales and historical insights about the mythological stories of Ramtek. Prominent dignitaries graced the event, which included the Principal, KITS, Ramtek as chief guest of the event, Dr. Avinash N. Shrikhande, Guest of Honour Ar. Sandeep Pathe from Studio Sakha, and Guest of Honour Dr. Vilas Mahatme, Dean Academic and Head of the Computer Technology Department and Ar. Navneeth M.from Hyderabad a resource person for STTP. The session was followed by an educational site visit to the Ramtek Gadmandir and Ambala precinct, allowing participants to experience firsthand the cultural landscapes discussed during the presentations. The program fostered a deeper understanding of cultural continuity and heritage preservation among the participants. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Mrs. Anjali Vivek Narad expressing gratitude towards all guests, resource persons, participants, and supporting bodies including IQAC for their efforts in making the session a success. The program highlighted the collaborative spirit and commitment to cultural education upheld by the Department of Architecture at KITS, Ramtek. The Department of Architecture acknowledges the constant support and motivation from the Honourable Secretary, Vodithala Education Society, Hyderabad, Sri V. Srinivasa Rao, for encouraging such activities.
