The Research & Development Cell and Incubation Centre, in association with the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Kavikulguru Institute of Technology and Science (KITS), Ramtek, successfully organized the INNO VISION CONTEST 2025 exclusively for B.Tech First Year students on 10th December 2025. The contest aimed to foster creativity, encourage innovation and provide a platform for students to present their problem-solving ideas. The Inno vision Contest 2025 was inaugurated in the presence of Dr. V. P. Mahatme, Dean (Academic) and Head, Department of Computer Technology , Dr. P.S. Ashtankar, Dean (Student Activities) and Head, Department Electronic and Communication Engineering, Dr. P. P .Parhad, Asso. Prof., Department of Mechanical Engg., ,Dr. Satish Bhele, Dean (R&D) and Dr. D.C. Katpatal, Incubation Centre Coordinator. In his Inaugural address, Dr. V. P. Mahatme emphasized the significance of innovation and idea generation, highlighting how young engineers can contribute to solving real-life societal challenges through technological solutions. Dr. Satish K. Bhele, Dean (Research & Development), introduced the objective of organizing the contest. He stated that the initiative aims to nurture an innovation culture at the early stage of engineering education, motivating students to become future innovators, startup founders and entrepreneurs equipped with creative thinking and problem-solving skills. The contest received an enthusiastic response with about 48 students presented innovative ideas across diverse domains which included Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based solutions, Mobile and web app development, Smart attendance application, Good health–related and Stress management applications, Rural development initiatives and Disaster management solutions aimed at societal improvement. The contest was coordinated by Dr. D. C. Katpatal, Coordinator, Incubation Centre. The proceedings of the program were handled by Mrs. Harshita Jain, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Technology. Judging Panel comprising of Dr. Shilpa Ashtankar, Dr. Snehal Dongre, Dr. Meenakshi Chouragade, Dr. Krishna Padole, Mr. K. Nagaraju, all Assistant Prof., from various engineering departments evaluated the presentation and also announced result. The first winner group from Electronics & Computer Science (Mr. Vedanshu S. Tembhe (ES25024), Mr. Pranav P. Nandurkar (ES25023) and Mr. Prithvi Bante (ES25022)) and second winner group from Computer Technology (Mr. Aniket S. Diwate (CT25117), Mr. Bhushan P. Rathod (CT25075) and Mr. Om B. Naitam (CT25126)) were felicitated with trophies and certificates in recognition of their and innovative thinking. Participation certificates were also given to the other participants. The organizers of the contest gratefully acknowledge the constant support and encouragement extended by the Honorable secretary, Vodithala Education Society, Sri. V. Srinivasa Rao, and the Principal, Dr. Avinash N. Shrikhande, in providing guidance and opportunities that enabled the enthusiastic participation of first year students in this programme.
