National Voters Day Celebration at KITS, Ramtek

National Voters’ Day is observed annually on 25 January to promote electoral awareness and encourage informed participation in the democratic process. In 2026, the occasion marks the 16th National Voters’ Day, during which an oath to uphold democratic values is traditionally administered to citizens across the country. As 25 January 2026 falls on a Sunday, a public holiday, the oath-taking ceremony was conducted on 23 January 2026. Accordingly, Kavikulguru Institute of Technology and Science (KITS), Ramtek, celebrated National Voters’ Day on 23 January 2026 under the aegis of the Election Literacy Club. On this occasion, Dr. Pankaj S. Ashtankar, Dean – Student Activities, addressed the students and motivated them to ensure maximum enrolment in voter registration. He also encouraged active participation in the Election Literacy Club and emphasized the importance of spreading awareness about the Indian Constitution, voter rights, and democratic responsibilities among the youth. The National Voters’ Day celebration was conducted across all engineering departments of the institute. The programme concluded with a pledge-taking ceremony, during which students reaffirmed their commitment to uphold democratic values and responsibilities. The programme commenced with a formal welcome by Ms. Kunika Langewar, a third-year student of the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), who also expressed her gratitude to all dignitaries and students present for making the event successful. The institute gratefully acknowledges the constant support and motivation of the Honourable Secretary, Vodithala Education Society, Hyderabad, Shri V. Srinivasa Rao, for encouraging such awareness initiatives. The department also extends its heartfelt thanks to Dr. Avinash N. Srikhande, Principal, KITS Ramtek, for his guidance and encouragement in promoting academic and co-curricular excellence at the institute.
