Awareness Program on “MENTAL HEALTH” at KITS,Ramtek

Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) and Information Technology (IT) jointly organized an awareness program on “Mental Health” on 09-03-26 under the theme “Access To Services –Mental Health In Catastrophes And Emergencies” proposed by the Public Health Department, Dist. Nagpur.


The session were conducted by Mrs. Priyanka Deshmukh (Taluka: Mouda-Block) and Mrs. Harsha Bhandarkar (Taluka: Kuhi Block) from District Mental Hospital, Nagpur. The awareness program commenced with a floral welcome and introduction about the program by Mrs. Saroj Shambharkar (Head, ITD) followed by a welcome address by Dr. Pankaj S. Ashtankar, Dean (Student Activities), who warmly introduced the resource persons and emphasized the importance of mental health.

The speakers conducted an interactive questionnaire and recommended at least 10 minutes of meditation in the morning to the students. A total of 99 students, along with staff members enthusiastically participated in the session. The interactive, regular meditation suggestions and insightful discussions enabled participants to better understand and cultivate a healthy and happy learning environment.

Pranav, Executive Director, Vodithala Education Society, Hyderabad, for their continuous encouragement towards organizing such awareness programs.
