Maharashtra Diwas Celebration at KITS, Ramtek

On May 1, 2026, Kavikulguru Institute of Technology and Science (KITS), Ramtek celebrated Maharashtra Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit.
The occasion was marked by the hoisting of the National Flag by the Principal, Dr. Avinash N. Shrikhande, commemorating the formation of the state of Maharashtra. The program began with a gathering at the Administrative Building lawn, followed by the rendition of the National Anthem, which filled the atmosphere with pride and unity.
In his address, Dr. Avinash N. Shrikhande highlighted the historical and cultural importance of Maharashtra Day. He spoke about the remarkable contributions of Maharashtra to the nation’s growth and development, encouraging students, faculty, and staff to pursue excellence in their respective domains. The celebration served as a reminder of the state’s rich heritage while also inspiring a sense of responsibility towards its continued progress. Students were motivated to uphold the core values of unity, diversity, and inclusiveness, which form the foundation of Maharashtra’s identity.The event was graced by the presence of Dr. Avinash N. Shrikhande, Principal; Dr. Pankaj S. Ashtankar, Dean (Student Activities); Dr. E. Shivaprasad, Dean (Hostels); Mr. Dinesh Joshi (Physical Training Instructor) along with Heads of Departments, Deans, faculty members, supporting staff, and students. The Hon’ble Secretary of the Vodithala Education Society, Sri V. Srinivas Rao, extended his warm greetings and blessings.
