Annual Sports Prize Distribution Ceremony Celebrated with Enthusiasm at KITS

The Annual Sports Prize Distribution Ceremony at Kavikulguru Institute of Technology and Science (KITS), Ramtek was celebrated with great enthusiasm and zeal on 28th April 2026 at Silver Jubilee Conference Hall. The Program was inaugurated by the District Sports Officer, Mrs. Pallavi Dhatrak, while the Principal, Dr. Avinash Shrikhande, presided over the function.On this occasion, Coach Darshana Pandit, Dean (Student Activities), Dr. Pankaj Ashtankar, Dean (Academic), Dr. Vilas Mahatme, student representatives Sujal Taware and Tamanna Waghmare, along with Heads of Departments, faculty members, Prize winners and a large number of students were present. While addressing the gathering, Mrs. Pallavi Dhatrak emphasized the importance of maintaining a balance between academics and sports. She highlighted that regular participation in sports helps develop discipline, teamwork, and overall personality, and also opens opportunities at national and international levels. Principal Dr. Shrikhande also encouraged students to actively pursue sports alongside their studies.
Dr. Pankaj Ashtankar introduced the Chief Guest, while the introductory remarks were delivered by Sujal Taware. Prize winners were felicitated with certificates and mementos in recognition of their achievements.
The program received support, guidance, and encouragement from the Honourable Secretary, Vodithala Education Society, Hyderabad, Sri V. Srinivasa Rao. The successful organization of the event was made possible through the dedicated efforts of the Physical Education Department, including In-charge Dinesh Joshi, Asst.Prof. Shubham Kawale, Ms. Sunita Nedoonuri,and other committee members . The program was anchored by Jaswini Gulpalli, Abhishek Wanjari, Vedanti Vaidya, and Gaurav Vaidya, while the vote of thanks was proposed by Tamanna Waghmare.
