Republic Day Celebration at KITS, Ramtek on 26th January 2024
The 26th of January is a gala day for every Indian. On 26th January 1950, the Constitution of India came into force and our country, India became the Republic. We celebrate this day as a festival every year with a sports prize distribution ceremony. All the students assembled in front of the administrative block at 7:30 am. The Principal Dr.Avinash N. Shrikhande unfurled the national flag. This was followed by our National Anthem ‘Jan Gan Man’ sung by attendees. The Principal addressed the gathering and told us as we commemorate the adoption of our Constitution, which embodies the values of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity. We also take pride in recognizing the outstanding sporting talents among our students. He emphasized the need for student participation in the Sport and extracurricular as the situation demands. The Principal also lauded the NCC and NSS for its immense contribution towards the cleanliness campaign, tree plantation, Yoga Day, Vaccination Camp.Dr. Avinash N. Shrikhande ,Principal , Dr. Pankaj S. Ashtankar, Dean student activities , Dr. Vilas P. Mahatme ,Dean, Academic, Mr. Dinesh Joshi, incharge Physical education department, Lt.Rajat Yadav, ANO, NCC, Dr.Uddal Hatwar, Program officer, NSS, Mr.Daipayan Mandal in charge cultural club worked hard to make the event successful. Ms. Pragya Za and Mr. Moiz Hussain formally welcomed the dignitaries and hosted the event. Ms. Swati Maywade and Mr. Aayog Dupare conducted the prize distribution ceremony. Mr. Nishant Ramteke read his sport event report for academic year 23-24 and Ms. Chetana Dhore thanked all the dignitaries, faculties and students present. The prizes were distributed on 26th January 2024 for intramural sport. The program ended with the distribution of sweets by NSS volunteers.
